Joanne Campbell/Richards - C.S.T.D Teacher/Examiner

Dance has been part of my life since I was four.Over those years I have been taught at very reputable schools, one of which was Paul Hammonds Ballet Centre who was an ex Ballet master from the Australian Ballet Company.

With many years of dedication to study I have completed all my examinations with The Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (C.S.T.D) as well as Classical examinations to Elementary Level with the Royal Acadamy of Dance (RAD) & then finalizing my training achieving my Full Teaching Diplomas in Classical, Theatrical & Tap with the C.S.T.D.

Through my years of dancing not only have I ran my own dance studio, I have also worked in & Choreographed with various Theatre Comapny's, choregraphed fashion parades as well as many special events.

My most recent achievement was becoming a C.S.T.D Examiner in June 2007. With my extended dance knowledge I now look forward to mentoring my Dance Director, Page Camillo & continue in the industry that I have always loved so much.

I began dancing at the age of seven as a student of Allegro 1 Studio. I fell in love with it the moment I laced up my shoes. Over the past 20 years I have been taught by many wonderful and very talented dancers and choreographers.

I have had the privlidge of being taught by choreographers and cast members of "Steel City" and the movie "Bootmen" and have also had the chance to work with a very talented choreographer and dancer from the channel 9 network. Since starting my dancing career in 1987 I have completed many C.S.T.D examinations and recieived many reputable awards. I was awarded with the Victorian Theatrical Cup in 1999 and was selected to dance at the 70th anniversary of Comdance at Melbournes Crown Casino. My current dance qualifications include, Full teachers tap diploma (C.S.T.D), teachers certificate in Theatrical and Classical (C.S.T.D), awarded the Jazz award in 2003, and received honours in my Intermediate major classical exam. I have also worked in and choreographed many studio productions, community events, fashion parades and lots more. I look forward to reaching new heights with the students of "Allegro 1 Dance Studio" and continue on in the industry that is my life "dance".
